We continue with the 2023 calendar with what will be the first WRPF international competition located in Valencia
On June 2, 3 and 4, the Ciudad de Valencia Competition will be held, an international competition which will mean that athletes will be able to set European and world records*.We also hope to welcome athletes and teams from different countries. A year of many changes and improvements is coming!
As of 2023, what will be the first edition of the Spanish Selection WRPF Spainwill be created. Those selected must compete in at least one competition in 2023. They may belong to any age, weight and discipline category. The selection will be made based on the wilks. The selected athletes will have greater economic facilities to compete in Sofia, Bulgaria;however, any WRPF Spain athlete may attend the internationals.
The competition will be held on June 2, 3 and 4. The event includes all age categories (from Teenager to Master III) and Powerlifting modalities (Classic and Raw), Bench Press and Deadlift, both for Raw and Equipped. The weigh-ins, as in the rest of the competitions, will begin 24 hours before the start of each group and will take place in the same location as the competition.
EVENT LOCATION
Both the competition and the weigh-in will take place at the "La nau" venue located in Silla, just 20km from Valencia and a 20-minute drive from Manises Airport (Valencia). The venue has ample free parking for athletes and the public.
You can get to the town from the airport by public transport:at the airport you must take metro line 3 in the direction of Rafelbunyol to the "'Xátiva" station, walk 3 minutes to Estación del Nort (train) and take the line C-1 to the station »Silla». The duration of the journey in total is approximately 1 hour.
